In his book, Value(s), Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney challenges what and how we value the things we do.
Contending that the global milieu has shifted from a market economy to a market society; that much of the state has been captured by business, and that we aren’t valuing the climate as we ought, Carney corrals us into a full frontal moment.
Like me, he may leave you (when you read the book) with more questions than answers: Are we ready for what’s coming with sustained carbon emissions; more entrenched cronyism, and AI-related job extinctions? I think not.
