The Christian is holy because the life she received—when she became born again—is holy.
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, the old nature died when you become a Christian and a new godly nature takes its place.
However, to live holy, the Christian must practice mindfulness about the demise of the old nature and its replacement with a new nature through self-affirmation.
