The Christian is not one that merely goes to church. She’s not a Christian because she was born to Christian parents and was raised a certain way.
The Christian has one significant quality, which is, life as God has life, and shouldn’t be subject to sin, failure, sickness, or death.
Beyond this, just as things can go awfully wrong when wicked people practice dark arts in families, communities, and within certain social circles, the Christian ought to be the upholder of good things in her environment through a process that seems like casting spells. Indeed, this was the idea behind the word, ‘gospel’ an Old English word for ‘good spell’ (the speaking of glad tidings of good things). The Christian puts herself in a position to let the Holy Spirit inspire words of power and she speaks. That’s a Christian.
