If after being born in a corrupt third world country; if after clawing your way to a racializing Western society and finally getting acceptance; if after enduring abandonment, repression, inflation and servitude in this life, this is all there is and then, you die.
Then, it makes sense to live as you want and be your own God because there is no purpose to living apart from your own enjoyment.
If, on the other hand, your many triumphs are a pointer to something more implicating, like a life after this one, and a civilization with its own rules. A civilization of which you become a part, without your volition, like you did this one, when your mother gave you birth, then the seriousness of why you are here must become a pressing question.
