When people say to you, “I love you,” give them a gift.
Ask, “how do you know you love me?” And then, wait for the answer.
If they knew what they were talking about, you wouldn’t need to ask in the first place because you’ll already know. But the fact that you asked should trigger an introspection in the one who professed love that says, “I really don’t know what I am talking about.”
