Nothing is as damaging to a child as a father with a critical spirit.
Men, from their childhoods, learn that they aren’t good enough and settle for so much less as adults because of dads who didn’t know how to affirm and hug their sons.
Women, more often, grow up with damaging images of themselves because of a dad who could care less for the well being of his daughter, causing her a string of heartbreaks from looking for love and validation in all the wrong places.
If there is anything that can be done to save us the damage caused by critical dads, it is showing them the lonely future that awaits them for being so critical.
