All actions have consequences. Good actions lead to good consequences and bad ones follow suit. Sins are bad actions, more like malfunctions or errors.
Part of Jesus’ mission was to bear the consequences for every error that every single person who ever lived made, knowingly or unknowingly.
Now these errors are measured against the original intent of the Creator. So, if God created humans to live healthy, falling sick is an error. However, Jesus bore the consequences of that error when He died on the cross. In fact, He bore the consequences for every error. This is why He is our sin-bearer.
