The bow out

What began as a caucus getaway over the long weekend quickly became a caucus revolt and before long, the Prime Minister had been ousted by a no-confidence vote, on the floor of parliament. And it all began with a wry onion analogy.

“Les personnes qui ont perdu leur maison à la suite de saisies doivent regarder la vie comme un oignon,” he said at press conference that lasted all of two minutes.

There would be no clawing back layers for the sixty thousand families that had lost their homes to greed and avarice. And in the intervening six days of news flashes and public outcry, it was time for the burly red-head to finally bow out.
